This website is devoted to my study trip to Nicaragua in January of 2010.

My hope for this site is to formally house my experiences on this trip—including my journal notes, photographs, scholastic writing, and historical data, maybe even a blog—in order that anyone happening by might have a better image of this experience.

It’s funny... our travel group, which consisted of about fifteen students and three professors (who were there as learners) discussed after the trip how our shared experience was singular—exclusive almost—in that we know what we saw, felt, heard, ate and discussed while we were in Nicaragua, but that those sensations and emotions are challenging to present to others in a meaningful way. By creating these pages and putting them "out there," I hope to be able to include more people in our shared experience!

While I can honestly say today that this project is "under development," I also realize and fully expect that it will always be under development—because the recollections, understandings and viewpoints that I have today will continue to grow and evolve.
